We undertook the outdoor space and signage planning as part of the renovation of Takamine Mountain Hotel.

Located adjacent to the Asama 2000 Park ski resort, Takamine Mountain Hotel is situated within the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park at an altitude of 2000 meters, offering visitors enchanting landscapes surrounded by high-quality snow and alpine plants.

In our landscaping plan, we aimed to maximize the use of existing assets. We transplanted Asama rocks and tall trees to preserve the hotel’s unique character while providing a more open view toward the ski slopes.

For the signage plan, we developed a design with the theme of hospitality under the majestic mountains and the accommodation, featuring simple mountain motifs. Our goal was to create an area where visitors could enjoy the beautiful landscapes and activities inspired by the simple yet profound natural uplift of the earth, regardless of the season.

The hotel is accessible from Tokyo in about two and a half hours. We invite you to enjoy the clear air and the unobstructed views.
